A Kept Woman(10)

By: Daryl Devore

“What did you do?”

Arianne plopped down beside him. “I gave him a blow job and sent him on his way. I told him that I didn’t have time for anything else.”

She smiled. “He loved it. All your tips worked like a charm. Quite handy having you as a roommate. But it was rather strange for breakfast conversation. Silly me, I thought bananas were just to be put on cereal.”

“You’re welcome. And now I believe you owe me a wonderfully expensive meal. I’ll pick out a restaurant. Thursday night?” he asked.

“This is a debt I’m willing and happy to pay,” said Arianne. “Taylor, he was ready to beg me to continue. I had him in the palm of my hand—so to speak. It was so empowering. I told him that I knew I could ask him for anything I wanted and he’d give it to me. Without a moment’s hesitation he said yes.”

“What did you ask for? Money? A car?”

“Nothing. I said I wanted him to enjoy what I was doing to him. I posed no threat. He knows I had him at the most vulnerable of moments and did I go for the kill? No.”

“He is so dead and he doesn’t even know it. Now, I know why I’m gay. You women are devious creatures. Should I start looking for a wedding present? What do you get a billionaire?”

Dialing the number he’d given her, Arianne waited while the phone rang. His voice was strong and deep. “Derek here.”

“Hi, it’s Arianne. Obviously, I got your text.”

“What the hell was yesterday all about?” Allowing a millisecond for her to respond, he continued, “It doesn’t matter how long I spend with you. I lead a busy life.”

“Hey, give me a chance to talk here. Did I give you pleasure or not?”

“Yes. No. Damn it! You aren’t in control, I am.”

“This isn’t a control issue. My job is to please you and I did. You race in, do me and go. So I figured I’d give you a quick blow job and let you get back to your life. What does it matter? You don’t want passion or romance just a quick fuck. Get your balls off and go.”

Derek flinched like he’d received a sharp slap across the face. “Don’t press the issue, Arianne, or you’ll lose your job. You knew the ground rules coming into this. I told you everything up front. Don’t pull any more stunts like that or there won’t be a next time?”

“When is the next time?” she asked.

“Tomorrow at two.”

The dial tone assaulted her ear, but Arianne didn’t mind. She smiled as she closed her cell phone.

Sliding her pass card in the reader, Arianne watched the elevator doors shut. The motion stopped and the doors before her opened. Slipping her gym bag over her shoulder, she stepped onto the marble entry way. Derek’s rear rested on the back of the couch, arms folded across his chest. “Hi.” It was a simple statement, but it was all she could manage. His face was dark with anger. His ice blue eyes were cold and passionless.

“Okay, I’m here,” he said.

“Yes, I’m fine. Thank you for asking.”

He closed his eyes and sighed. “Yea well, I’m tired and grumpy. It has been a hectic two days, with meetings and problems. I didn’t need this crap from you. It’s one more thing piled up on my plate for me to deal with.”

Arianne debated with herself. Maybe this wouldn’t be the best moment to do this. He might be too tense and irritable. Might get myself fired.

Deciding to chance it, she led him to the bedroom then set her bag at the foot of the bed. He opened his mouth to speak, but Arianne placed a finger on his lips, signaling him to be quiet. Facing him, she removed his suit jacket, walked to the closet and hung it on a hanger. Tugging at the knot she released his tie and draped it over her shoulder. One at a time she undid the buttons of his shirt, and released his cuff links. Sliding her hands up his bare chest, she slipped her hands over his shoulders and pushed the shirt off his body. It dropped to the floor. She picked it up, placed it and the tie on another hanger and the cuff links on the dresser.

With the same care she removed his shoes, socks and dress slacks, leaving him in his boxers. She pointed to the bed and signaled for him to roll onto his stomach. Afterward, she opened her purse, and took out a bottle of musk scented body oil. Pouring a quantity into her palms, she cupped it until it had warmed, then dribbled it around his back and shoulders. Her finger tips spread the oil over his bare skin. Kneading the shoulders and upper back she felt his muscles loosen. She worked her fingers down his muscled shoulders and arms. She worked until his brow relaxed and his breathing calmed. “Roll over.”
